The Brilliantly Profitable Timing of the Alaska Oil Pipeline Shutdown

Is the Alaska Pipeline corroded? You bet it is. Has been for more than a decade. Did British Petroleum shut the pipe yesterday to turn a quick buck on its negligence, to profit off the disaster it created? Just ask the “smart pig.”

Hezbullah is not anti-Jewish. I repeat, they are not anti-Jewish.

[Hezbullah was] a direct result of Israeli occupation of Southern Lebanon. The Israelis killed tens of thousands of people in Southern Lebanon during that occupation . . . this [was] part of the civil war.

Newt Gingrich Considers Political Opposition, American Citizens, to be an ”Insurgency”

Some have expressed concern over Newt Gingrich’s use of the term “insurgency”, while referring to Ned Lamont supporters in Connecticut…. Gingrich, of course, meant the term to be derogatory and a means of linking those that oppose Bush’s war follies with terrorists. Still, Crazy Newt the serial divorcer was correct in more ways than he fully understands and, too, revealed the Neo-Conservative agenda in a clear and yet, unintended way.

‘Dayside’ Audience Laughs at Lebanese Deaths

The audience for Fox News’ “Dayside” sank to a new low on Tuesday (August 8, 2006) during discussion of the fighting along the Israeli-Lebanese border. Egged on by substitute host Steve Doocy (or Doocey as the chyron spelled it at one point), the audience literally laughed at the suffering of Lebanese civilians caught between Hezbollah and Israeli bombs.

Israel responded to an unprovoked attack by Hezbullah, right? Wrong!

Whatever we think of Israel’s assault on Lebanon, all of us seem to agree about one fact: that it was a response, however disproportionate, to an unprovoked attack by Hezbullah. I repeated this “fact” in my last column, when I wrote that “Hizbullah fired the first shots”.
