It is absolutely amazing to me how so many people truly understand so little about how their lives are actually affected, and actually work. Listen to me: If you’re a teen, or a young adult, this is what is quite likely going to happen to you:
At some point you’re probably going to want to have a family and own a home. So, you’re going to go to a bank, and if they think you’ll be able to make all of your payments on their “loan,” then they’re going to give you a whole bunch of imaginary money that they just create out of thin air — money which doesn’t actually exist anywhere in the real, physical world. You’re going to use that imaginary money to buy yourself a house. But, the very second that they hand that money over to you, they are going to expect you to begin paying all of that money back to them. BUT, they absolutely will NOT accept imaginary money in return! No! They want your REAL money in return! And, not only do they want the amount that they gave you back, they’re going to charge you interest on that imaginary money, and you’re going to have to pay them that in real money as well.
So, you’re going to have to have a job. You’re going to work at this job for at least 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, with perhaps a week or two of vacation every year… if you’re lucky. You’re going to do this in order to get real money to use to pay the bank back for the imaginary money, plus the imaginary interest, that they lent to you. You’re going to scrimp and save, and basically live the life of a slave for pretty much all of your young life. During all of the time that you’re doing this, you wont own your house… the bank will. Because, of course, you still owe them some of that imaginary money, which means that they have a lien on your house. And, that means that they can basically just come and take it away from you whenever they feel like it. But, don’t worry. As long as you keep giving them real money in payment for that imaginary money that they lent to you, they wont feel like doing that. Now, here’s the really good news: when you get old and are ready to retire, when your youth is gone, if you’re lucky, and have played well by the rules, then you will have paid back all of the imaginary money and all of the imaginary interest that you owed on your lovely house.
Then, if you’re lucky, you wont realize that after you have spent your life scrimping and saving and playing by their rules — making OTHER people rich for doing not much more than moving numbers around on a computer — if you’re lucky, you wont realize the truth: YOU STILL DON’T OWN YOUR FUCKING HOUSE! YOU NEVER DID! AND NO MATTER WHAT, YOU NEVER WILL!
You see, you’re a peasant — a commoner. And, commoners are not allowed to own real-property. They never have been. Only the nobles are allowed to own property. It’s been that way for thousands of years, and it’s still that way now. The only difference is that the nobles have figured out a way to put you to sleep and feed you on illusion so that you don’t actually realize that you’re a peasant. They’ve actually figured out a way to make you give them all of your money, and have you think that you actually own something. But, you don’t. You don’t own shit. You’ve given them all of your money, and THEY STILL OWN YOUR FUCKING HOUSE AND YOUR FUCKING LAND!
That is the fucking truth… that is YOUR life. And, the odds are that you, reading this, have absolutely no clue that that is the way that it works.
Peasants can’t own property because a titlement to property is empowering. When you own your own property, you become less dependent on the nobles. The less dependent you are on the nobles, the less likely you are to do what they want you to do.
But, I’m just crazy right? Of course you own your own land and your own house! Oh yeah? Lets see… Everybody who thinks they are home-owners, raise your hand… ok, good, quite a few of you have your hand up. Now, every one of you with your hand up, unless you own your house free and clear of any mortgage due, or any liens on your property, put your hand down. There! That right there should tell you something! Very, very few of you still have your hand up. But, it gets even better than that! Those of you that still have your hands up: you own your land and your house, right? You’re sure of it? Well, how long do you figure you’d be ‘allowed’ to remain living there if you were to stop paying your property taxes? …really?
So, in order to keep possession of your property — which you claim you’ve paid for in toto and own entirely free and clear — you must keep making regular payments to an outside agency in order to retain possession of it? How can you say you own property if you have to keep paying someone else in order to keep using it? And you can look me straight in the eye and tell me that you’re not hopelessly asleep? Tsk, tsk!
It’s right there in front of you — hidden in plain sight — the truth: You are absolutely NOT allowed to own property. You’re just allowed to think that you do. And, you will have to work your life away for the privilege of enjoying the illusion that you actually own something.
THAT is how it works. Deal with it! ….or, change it!
